Looking forward, our long-term vision is to establish a full in-person high school program serving grades 9th–12th. We are deeply committed to developing a Christ-centered high school community on campus, and as Waymark Academy grows, we prayerfully anticipate expanding into these grades with teachers, extracurriculars, service-learning, and college and career preparation that reflects our mission and values.
Until then, we are excited to offer online classes for grades 6th–12th, giving families access to a structured Christian education from home with the flexibility to meet the needs of military families, nontraditional schedules, student interests, and individual learning styles. Classes are taught through a reputable Christian online platform, and they deliver a strong academic foundation rooted in biblical worldview, spiritual growth, and personal accountability. While the platform is not classical in structure, it remains aligned with Christian doctrine, character formation, and rigorous academic standards.
Online students will complete their daily learning at home under the guidance and support of their parents or guardians, creating an environment where family discipleship and academics naturally work together. Waymark Academy will maintain check-ins with students and families, allowing our staff to track progress, answer questions, provide encouragement, support accountability, and celebrate growth. These check-ins help ensure that students remain connected to our school community even while learning from home and give parents a trusted partner throughout the academic year.
Enrollment into the online program is intentional and individualized. Waymark will review each student’s current grades, learning needs, academic strengths, and projected pathway, while also considering Waymark Academy’s graduation requirements and the North Carolina University System Admission guidelines. This holistic review ensures that each student is placed in the correct courses to remain on track for graduation, future college or trade programs, or other postsecondary opportunities. We want every online student to feel confident that their academic pathway is carefully designed, prayerfully supported, and fully accredited for their future goals.
For qualified students, dual-credit and college-level courses are available directly through the online program. This allows motivated high school students to earn college credit while still enrolled at Waymark Academy - reducing future tuition costs and helping students transition confidently into higher education.
The Opportunity Scholarship Program and others, can be used for the online program, making Christian education accessible to North Carolina families. Additional scholarships and financial assistance may also be available to support student needs, ensuring that finances are never a barrier to receiving a Christ-centered education.
Our online learning structure allows Waymark students to grow spiritually, academically, and personally - at home, with their families, and under the guidance of teachers and discipleship mentors who care deeply about each child’s God-given purpose and calling.
